Several of my good friends are having babies this year. I was invited invited to 3 baby showers in early 2006. And I'll probably be invited to a few more later in the year. As a veteran mom, I decided to make them something they could really use: large tote bags!
I used to wonder why my own mom carried a tacky (or at least, I thought so at the time) tote bag everywhere. Now, I know. Moms need to carry a lot of STUFF for their kids: extra snacks, sweaters, toys, drinks, kleenex, etc.
I used Simplicity Pattern #9658. To date, I've made 4 tote bags. 2 are pictured below.
The bags are made of 100% cotton home decorator fabric and are machine washable.
